Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal and quick bowler Shoaib Akhtar were amongst the first cricketrs to be taken for random dope examination before the ICC WC 2011. 29 year old Kamran Akmal and 35-year-old Shoaib Akhtar were examined after a training period on Wednesday by the ICC’s drug inspectors.
“It is common to test cricketers ahead of and during a event. “Nothing fishy about it. Other players will also be analyzed,” he included.Shoaib who has been recalled for the WC after being out of action for a key part of the previous 3 years because of spate of injuries.
Pakistan team encounter England in a Warm up Game on Friday, where the quick bowler Shoaib Akhtar wants to give good results to show his level of fitness.
