Shahid Afridi hits out at ICC’s new rules

Shahid AfridiThe former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi claimed the new ODI rules designed by the ICC late last year has made it difficult for the spinner bowlers in the fifty-over cricket.

The all rounder has 348 victims in 352 ODIs but is without a wicket in the 1st 3 matches in South Africa who lead the five-match series 2-1 going into the 4th match in Durban on Thursday.

Shahid Afridi told a Pakistani channel as a spinner it’s not easy bowling under the fresh laws, adding not only him but also all of their spinners have struggled. Afridi added this law by having 2 fresh balls in an innings, and not having over 4 fielders outside the 30m circle throughout an innings has made life tough.

Pakistan’s spin bowlers have been not able to contain South Africa and the home side made a massive 343 for 5 on the way to a 125-run win in the 3rd match at the Wanderers on Sunday.
