The former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi claimed the new ODI rules designed by the ICC late last year has made it difficult for the spinner bowlers in the fifty-over cricket.
The all rounder has 348 victims in 352 ODIs but is without a wicket in the 1st 3 matches in South Africa who lead the five-match series 2-1 going into the 4th match in Durban on Thursday.
Shahid Afridi told a Pakistani channel as a spinner it’s not easy bowling under the fresh laws, adding not only him but also all of their spinners have struggled. Afridi added this law by having 2 fresh balls in an innings, and not having over 4 fielders outside the 30m circle throughout an innings has made life tough.
Pakistan’s spin bowlers have been not able to contain South Africa and the home side made a massive 343 for 5 on the way to a 125-run win in the 3rd match at the Wanderers on Sunday.
