Jailed Ex- Pakistan opening batsman Salman Butt has been exercising fellow convicts in a British jail’s gymnasium, his dad has disclosed. “My boy has been assigned to give training to other prisoners in prison,” said Zulfiqar Butt.
The ex- Pakistan skipper, who was locked up for 30 months after found responsible on spot-fixing allegations, has been made the gymnasium in-charge. However, an official of the Canterbury jail refused exposing Salman Butt’s role in the gym and explained all culprits are allowed to use the fitness center.
“We can’t disclose physical activities of the specific prisoner, but I can identify that all culprits are able to go to a health club at the same time. It’s a cost-free service provided to prisoners here,” the official explained.
The jail boasts of services including gym, astro-turf pitch, kitchens, learning and training courses.
