Retired South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis will reportedly be recalled back to the ODI team for the tour to Sri Lanka in July. Jacques Kallis has made his plans clear that he wants to play in next year’s Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
As per Sport24, Cricket South Africa`s convener of selectors, Andrew Hudson said the Sri Lanka series could be Jacques Kallis chance to stake a claim, although he added that from a selectors point of view, the player is no certainty for the World Cup.
However, Andrew Hudson also said that CSA would like to see Jacques Kallis to perform in the event, as there are around 25 ODIs before the World Cup for the all-rounder to establish himself. South Africa`s tour of Sri Lanka includes 3 ODIs and 2 Tests, the report said.
