Rangana Herath, however, will join the team for the three-Test series, which will happen after the conclusion of the One-dayers. He became the 2nd senior player to opt out of the series due to personal issues, after former Sri Lanka skipper Mahela Jayawardene made himself unavailable for both T20 Internationals and the ODI series.

Ajantha Mendis, who was to exit the team after today’s 2nd and final T20 game, will now stay on as a substitute of Herath, Sri Lanka Cricket said.
