PCB should take ownership of UAE stadiums: Waqar Younis

Ex- skipper Waqar Younis has asked the PCB to take more control of the cricket venues in the UAE if they desire the national team to produce better results in the region.

Waqar Younis said on Friday that since it was now a known fact that Pakistan’s 2nd cricket home was the UAE due to teams not visiting Pakistan because of safety issues, it was time the board took more control of the cricket venues in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Pakistan is one down in the 3 match Test series against Sri Lanka in the series being played in the UAE.

Waqar Younis said the PCB now should show more control of the 3 venues in the UAE where Pakistan played and have a couple of permanent workers, including curator and ground staff stationed at these locations, a leading newspaper reports.
