The PCB is reportedly hoping that their players might get an opportunity to play in the IPL next season. As per the Daily Times, a PCB official said that the national team had no international commitments lined up after the T20 World Cup in Bangladesh in March up to October 2014 for which they’re hoping that the BCCI invites players for the IPL in April and May.
The official more stated that the optimism stemmed from BCCI`s decision to invite the Pakistani domestic T20 winners for the Champions League T20 this season as well as last year, although he accepted that the board had no talks on this matter along with the BCCI.
However, the official said that signs were that the Indians were also thinking on lines of having a bilateral series with Pakistan, adding that because of the general elections in India next season, there is also talk of moving the IPL to some other country, which would make it simpler for the BCCI and franchises to invite Pakistani cricketers.
The official also said that the PCB wanted Pakistan cricketers to participate in IPL next season due to lack of international commitments in ICC `s Future Tours Program.
