PCB clears players outstanding dues

The PCB has finally cleared outstanding payments of the national team cricketers and also assured them of no delays in future payments of match fees, bonuses or monthly retainers.

Sources in the PCB announced that the players were paid their outstanding dues until the start of the tour to Sri Lanka which had been pending for the last couple of months.

The dues were cleared on the directions of the Chairman of  PCB, Zaka Ashraf, who had received complaints from several senior cricketers that there was an undue wait in clearance of payments after each event or series since the start of the year.

The cricketers conveyed their issues to Ashraf after some of them had delayed signing the fresh central contracts offered to them in which the PCB announced a 25 % surge in their monthly retainers and a 10 % increase in match fees.
