Pakistan team selection for South Africa tour proving `headache` for PCB

The unexpectedly arranged tour of South Africa is reportedly becoming a headache for the Pakistani national selectors, who’ve been asked to select one team for both T20s and ODIs.

Soon after the end of the home series that is presently underway in the UAE, Pakistan will depart on a short South Africa tour featuring 2 T20s and 3 ODIs from November 20 to 30. As per the Express Tribune, a PCB official said that Cricket South Africa has sought a pool of 25 team members, including both players and officials for the whole tour, meaning that the selectors are to select one team for both formats.

The officially accepted that the selection has become a tough task as compared to what the selection board has been exercising recently, adding that team management desired to assess players after the 5th and final ODI in Sharjah for which they’ve postponed the announcement of the team.
