Pakistan Premier League likely to be held in March 2013

After an excellent display of 2 exhibition T20 matches between Rest of Pakistan Eleven and International World Eleven, PCB eyes to revive back cricket in Pakistan on long term basis with the first edition of Pakistan T20 League.

It’s learnt that as many as 5 sides (Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot and a combined side from Islamabad and Rawalpindi) will be taking part in an expected fascinating event with 23 matches on the cards stretching to fifteen days of infinite fun of cricket. The first version of Pakistan Premier League has been slated to stage in March 2013.

The number of matches are mentioned to be 23 in 13 playing days whereas the league would last for Fifteen days. Several legend cricketers from around the world would participate in the event.

Contract Money
The National and International cricketers will be categorised into 3 groups. The Category A cricketers will get from $60,000 to $75,000; Category B from $35,000 to $50,000; Category C $25,000 to $30,000. However, legend cricketers like Chris Gayle may be offered up to $100,000 if he wills to play. Each side would include 6 International cricketers, 2 from each category while they’re allowed to play four Overseas cricketers.
