Not a single Pakistani cricketer was added in the auction list for IPL 7. The decision has been made at times when the BCCI requires Pakistan’s vote for the controversial suggestion devised to monopolize the affairs the ICC with Cricket Australia and ECB.
Not one player from the national team was shortlisted in the 233 players available for the IPL 7 auction. The IPL governing council also disclosed the base prices for the cricketers – the minimum price is Rs 30 Lakhs while the maximum base price is Rs 2 Crore. Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Dinesh Karthik and Amit Mishra were some of the Indian cricketers in the 2 Crore bracket which also had overseas cricketers like Jacques Kallis, Mitchell Johnson, Kevin Pietersen and Brendon McCullum.
The main ranked T20I batsmen Alex Hales was also part of the 2 Crore bracket while New Zealand sensation Corey Anderson bagged himself a base price of Rs 1 Crore. The IPL 7 GC will shortly declare the list of uncapped players available for the auction and their base prices will range from Rs 10 Lakhs to Rs 30 Lakhs, Mumbai Mirror reported.
