Pakistan keen on ‘short’ tour to South Africa next month

The PCB is reportedly keen to plan a short limited-overs tour to South Africa next month as Pakistan’s schedule is free to Sri Lanka arrives in the UAE for a full tour against them starting from Dec. 11.


The 2 sides are presently involved in a series in the UAE, which is set to end on Nov. 15, and as South Africa will be free to India arrive in early December, it would be wanting to get more matches, particularly after the Indian tour to their shores was cut short.

As per Sport24, a PCB spokesman revealed that they may be in conversation along with South Africa regarding a short tour, although he added that the correspondence is at a primary phase with no concrete decision made so far.

The report pointed out that the month-long tour of India to South Africa in December will include just a 2 Tests and 3 ODIs – much less than the 3 Tests, 7 ODIs and 3 T20s initially slated.
