Bangladesh has been rocked by political violence in recent days, prompting rumors that the World T20, due to be held in the country from March 16 to April 6, may be moved elsewhere, although the Asia Cup organizers insisted that the event would go ahead even if one of the teams pulled out for security reasons.

As per a leading newspaper, introducing the timetable, ACC chief executive Ashraful Huq said that the teams` participation was subject to security approval by their respective boards, although he was confident all 5 countries would take part.

On the other hand, a Sri Lankan cricket official said that the team`s bilateral tour to Bangladesh beginning on January 27 would go ahead as planned, the report added.
