Chairman PCB, Najam Sethi, hoped that fast bowler Muhammad Amir would be allowed to resume international cricket next year, before the end of his five-year ban for spot-fixing. Najam Sethi was talking to media at Lahore airport upon his return from Dubai, where he attended the ICC conference.
PCB on Friday announced that Najam Sethi has been elected on the newly-formed, all strong ICC Executive Committee (ExCo). “The ExCo comprises of five (5) members with representations from India, England and Australia besides two others, with Pakistan being elected as the fourth and the West Indies as the fifth member of the committee,” PCB said.
Najam Sethi told journalists that instead of the ‘Big-3’, the five-member body has been made to take important decisions of the ICC. Najam Sethi said that Pakistan would receive ICC chairmanship next year.
