Misbah-ul-Haq is a defensive skipper and is not fitting for the captain for the forthcoming World Cup starting says ex- captain Rashid Latif.
“Pakistan team requirements an aggressive captain just like Shahid Afridi, who needs to be retained for the World Cup,” ex- captain told in a interview.
“I believe team Pakistan could have won the second Test match versus NZ but we lost the chance of winning the match because of protective strategy test team captain ,” Rashid Latif said.
“Sides are simply chasing total but because of Misbah’s careful and defensive attitude, team missed the opportunity.
“By supporting the name of the skipper for the WC, PCB has already generated rift in the team,” he said. “ I have nothing against Misbah but he is not suit to lead Pakistan in the huge event like WC,” Rashid Latif noted.
Rashid Latif accepted that there are several weak points in Afridi’s game, but he had been playing like this for a long time.
