Threatened by the marauding Shane Watson, Pakistan head coach Dav Whatmore laughed that his side will either have to poison the Aussie all-rounder’s food or expect that he’s a poor day in office in their important T20 World Cup Super Eight match here tomorrow.
Pakistan will take on Australia tomorrow and Shane Watson is the team’s main headache going into the must-win match as the all-rounder has been plain dangerous with both bat and ball. In fact, Shane Watson has so far received 4 man of the match awards and is single-handedly guiding Australia’s campaign in the competition.
“May be we need to poison his food. Jokes apart, he’s a human being and we wish he’d make a few mistakes,” said Whatmore after Pakistan’s campaign went haywire after a crushing loss to India yesterday. But Shane Watson himself is quite modest about his form. “Nice to be able to carry on and play well. I understand how crucial my part is,” Shane Watson said after another match-winning display against South Africa yesterday.
