Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal and Indian quick bowler Ishant Sharma have been fined 5 and 15 % respectively of their game fees by ICC, here on yesterday.
A heated debate erupted between the 2 cricketers during the final overs of the 1st Twenty20 game played at the Bangalore cricket ground and umpires had to step in to split up them and continue with the exciting match which Pakistan won by 5 wickets.
The 2 got into a spat when Shoaib Malik was declared not out after he was caught off a no ball by Ishant, and then Kamran Akmal was beaten to the next ball as the 2 batsmen had crossed each other when the ball was in the air.
Soon both furious cricketers exchanged a couple of angry words and wagged fingers at each other. Finally, the ground umpires and Indian cricketers intervened and split up both of them.
