IPL spot-fixing:Police seize Sreesanth’s notebook from Mumbai hotel

sreesanth-pontingIn a latest development on IPL-fixing, Mumbai crime branch on Saturday raided a Five star hotel allegedly occupied by Sreesanth, they’ve also seized iPhone and laptop. The Delhi police are also looking at CCTV footage of the meeting in Chandigarh, Ajit Chandila has been caught on camera dealing with the bookies.

Delhi Police sent investigators to 4 cities in the country to trace the money trail in the IPL spot-fixing case while the 3 cricketers along with the 4 bookies are being quizzed by a special police cell. The teams have been sent to Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Hyderabad in this connection.

Sreesanth and the other 2 players – Ankit Chavan and Ajit Chandila- were detained in Mumbai on Thursday by Delhi Police for spot-fixing IPL matches for charges of up to Rs 60 lakh only for giving away pre-determined number of runs in an over.
