Indian team still in fear of Afridi says Imran Khan

Ex- 1992 World Cup winning skipper Imran Khan feels India are still in fear of Shahid Afridi due to the Asia Cup loss saying Afridi is among the top 5 T20 cricketers in the world who can bowl and also hit massive sixes which are a requirement for this format.

Imran Khan, who played for the Pakistani cricket team from 1971 to 1992, said Afridi is vital to Pakistan team. “Afridi’s bowling and batting are ideally suited for this format,” he said. Imran said in a Test match you can easily say that a team that does consistently well wins the match. “In a 20 over game, the match changes hands in a matter of 2 to 3 overs so to predict a winner is difficult,” he said.

Imran Khan, who served as skipper from 1982 to 1992, said when he was the skipper, he was never afraid to change the batting order as the scenario required. “I would advise Captain Muhammad Hafeez to go in with a flexible mindset when thinking about the batting order,” he also said.
