India jumps to 2nd place after 4-1 win against Sri Lanka

Irfan Pathan took 5 crucial wickets as India fetched a 20-run victory over Sri Lanka in the 5th and last ODI in Pallekele on Saturday to win the series four-one and rise to 2nd in the ICC rankings. Pathan finished with figures of 5 for 61, his 2nd five-wicket haul in ODIs, as India dismissed Sri Lanka for 274 in reply to the visitors’ 294 for 7.

India after completing their 4-1 win in ODI Series against Sri Lanka, are now at the Number 2 spot in ICC ODI rankings. Australia is at # 1 still, with 6287 points in 53 ODI Games whereas India have 7116 points after playing 60 ODI Games.
