English team will stay No.1 for a long period: Harmison

Ex- English fast bowler Steve Harmison thinks the present team will rule at the top of world cricket for yrs. Harmison, alongwith Andrew Flintoff, Marcus Trescothick and Paul Collingwood, performed a vital part in wresting back the Ashes in 2005.

The Andrew Strauss-led side not just received the Ashes on Australian earth the very first time in 24 yrs but also replaced India as the # 1 Test team. Harmison said Strauss along with chief coach Andy Flower has done amazing things with the side.”It is just amazing what the 2 Andys have done with the English squad,” Harmison was mentioned as saying by The Mirror.

“But I feel Andrew Strauss truly has been the person above all others though who’s led this team forward.”He took over in tough situations in the West Indies in 2009 and he has led with strength.

English side are now in India for a reverse sequence and will be taking part in 5 ODIs starting from October 14 in Hyderabad.
