BCCI has invited PCB to send a side to participate in the Champions League. However, the team’s taking part will again rely on the approval from the Indian government. The Champions League is planned to take place in India in September and most of the Test playing countries are expected to take part in this T20 competition.
“We have sent a letter to the PCB a few days ago where we have invited them to take part in the Champions League. But we have also told them that their participation is subject to government clearance. The invitation has been sent so that we can book their place in the tournament. Later, we will start the process of taking permission from the ministry,” a BCCI official said.
A couple of days back BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel, in a discussion with the media, too had said that the BCCI has no issue in resuming ties along with Pakistan, but it will rely on government nod.
