All-rounder Dwayne Bravo has dismissed reports that he suffered minor injuries following a car accident on Wednesday. The 29-year-old cricketer was reported to have been treated for damage to both hands after his white Jaguar sports vehicle collided with a Suzuki SUV along the Uriah Butler Highway in south Trinidad.
“I have no idea where the journalists got their information from. There’s absolutely nothing bad with my hands and I’m fine. Yes, I got in an accident but there’s nothing wrong with me personally,” said Bravo, the Windies one-day vice-captain. “When those reports went out, it just sent people into a frenzy and caused a great deal of stress. That’s truly unneeded and I’m fine.”
The accident happened close to the site where the West Indies cricketer Runako Morton lost his life a few months ago when his car crashed into an electricity pole. Dwayne Bravo will not be involved in the 6th national T20 trial match but Trinidad and Tobago team manager Omar Khan said it was due to administrative issues.
