Abdul Razzaq to lead Pakistan squad for Super Sixes Contest

National selectors named seasoned cricketer Abdul Razzaq the skipper of the Pakistan team for the Super Sixes contest to be held in Hong Kong later this month.

Abdul Razzaq, who’s been not considered for national selection since the World Cup and wasn’t discussed for the Test sequence against Sri Lanka, will lead a solid 7 participant group for the Hong Kong tournament.

Besides Abdul Razzaq, the selectors also accommodated other national team cricketers, Umar Akmal, Sohail Khan, Sohail Tanvir, Yasir Shah, Hammad Azam and newbie Sharjeel Khan in the Super sixes team.

Pakistan have featured regularly in the Hong Kong sixes event which is held yearly with squads from all Test playing countries participating in it.

Umar, Sohail, Tanvir and Yasir had all toured Zimbabwe with the senior side in August but were dropped for the Test series versus Sri Lanka in the UAE.
