Aaron Finch, the 26-year-old Victorian, ransacked Englilsh’s bowling with an eye-popping world record 156 as Australia secured their very first victory in any format for 200 days. The right-hander’s record strong knock had 11 boundaries and 14 sixes as he surpassed Brendon McCullum’s highest individual score (123) in T20 internationals.
Aaron Finch 1st added 114 runs with Shaun Marsh for the 2nd wicket which was followed by 101-run partnership with Shane Watson before he was eventually bowled by Jade Dernbach in the 17th over of the innings.
With the help of this knock, Australia posted a big score of 248/6. It was another record as it became the 2nd highest team total in T20 internationals after Sri Lanka’s 260/6 against Kenya, a feat they established in 2007.
