Varun Dhawan Considers Amitabh Bachchan His Idol

Varun Dhawan, who will next be seen in Main Tera Hero, said megastar Amitabh Bachchan is his biggest inspiration and that he considers Big B his idol.

He was at a promotional event of Main Tera Hero where he told media; “I am not in the race for Rs 100 crore club. For me the most important thing is that the audience enjoys my film and feel that the movie was worth spending.”

Varun said he tries to bring humour and entertainment in the lives of the audience who have to deal with a lot of stress in their everyday life. He said he has started taking criticisms in positive sense.

Initially I used to have a problem with criticism but now I take them positively and try to improve myself,” Varun said.

The actor said he too had to work hard to make name in Bollywood inspite of being the son of an established filmmaker, David Dhawan.

I also had to struggle in the industry inspite of being the son of David Dhawan. My first film was directed by Karan Johar and he is not even my father’s friend,” Varun added.

Main Tera Hero is directed by Varun’s father David Dhawan and is scheduled to be released on April 4. The film also stars Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D’Cruz.
