Bollywood has two big releases set for today. The first one is Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra’s Daawat-e-Ishq and the second one is Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan’s Khoobsurat.
Yash Raj Films’ Daawat-e-Ishq is directed by Habib Faisal, who previously delivered Ishaqzaade. Daawat-e-Ishq is a love story of Hyderabad girl, disillusioned with romantic, and a cook from Lucknow and the face-off between 2 different cultures.
Meanwhile Pakistani charmi actor Fawad Khan is making his debut in Bollywood with Khoobsurat. The actor shares big screen with Sonam Kapoor in the film. Khoobsurat is an update of the original hit movie starring Rekha.
Khoobsurat is directed by Shashanka Ghosh. The story revolves around bubbly, quirky middle-class physiotherapist (played by Sonam) from Delhi who goes to Rajasthan in order to treat the wheelchair-bound Raja of Sambalgarh and encounters the sophisticated, stiff upper lipped royals led by the aristocratic Fawad Khan.
Actress Ratna Pathak Shah plays a royal head of the family – a role she inherits from her mother Dina Pathak who played the stern disciplinarian in the original Hrishikesh Mukherjee hit while Kirron Kher plays Sonam’s outspoken mom in the movie.
The film’s main attraction is actor Fawad Khan, who has built a huge popularity especially among female fans.
