The evergreen blockbuster movie Sholay has now been converted to 3D for the audiences. Sholay 3D budget, by its presenters, is roughly Rs.25 Crore.
The Chairman, Pen India PVT Ltd Jayantilal Gada said; “Around Rs 25 crore has been spent for Sholay 3D.”
Sholay is a superhit film of 1975 which was directed by Ramesh Sippy and featured Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjeev Kumar and Hema Malini.
Sholay 3D budget has now been revealed by its presenters and according to them, it is around Rs.25 crores.
“When the film released in 1975, there used to be lines outside the theatre to buy tickets and for over five years, it ran houseful. I have been licensing various rights of Sholay from 1995 till date and I will never forget what the film has given me,” said Gada.
Maya Digital Studios worked on the 2D and 3D conversion of Sholay which will provide an entirely new viewing experience for the audiences.
