Bandra could shortly have the unlikeliest of neighbours, with Salman Khan buying a Rs 32-crore triplex apartment a stone’s throw from Mannat, the bungalow of Shahrukh Khan. The triplex, in an under-construction 28 storey building known as The Address at Bandra Bandstand, isn’t far from Galaxy Apartments, where Salman Khan presently lives with his parents.
According to the stamp duty and registration papers, the triplex extends across 9,763 sq ft, including including carpet, affiliated and car parking areas. The papers show that Salman paid over Rs 1.64 crore as stamp duty on the market price of the apartment, Rs 32 crore. Salman’s dad Salim Khan apparently concluded the agreement, but rejected to comment. In Sept . 2011, Salman had apparently sold a ninth-floor apartment, measuring 1,650 square feet, in the 14 storey Sterling Seaface at Worli. The deal was for over Rs 6 Crs. He’s looking for a customer for another apartment of similar size on the building’s 6th floor.
On Sept . 1, 2011, TOI claimed that Salim Khan refused reports that Salman had invested an undisclosed sum in an old building at Bandra’s Carter Road, which he designed to redevelop with a builder. Salim also refused reports that Salman had bought a four-bedroom-hall-kitchen penthouse at Carter Road for about Rs 20 Crs in ’09.
