Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express which is presently in the news for its massive promotions has been facing trouble from the political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). The party is upset with the producers of the movie for booking all the time slots in single screens, as this would indicate that the regional Marathi movies will take a backseat.
MNS film wing Chief Amey Khopkar recently said that if the producers aren’t ready to take action, then his team will soon remove the publicity posters from Maharashtra. However, in order to fix the issue, Rohit Shetty, director of Chennai Express, the UTV production team and the team of the Marathi film Duniyadari will meet with the MNS president Raj Thackeray at the latter’s residence at 12.30 pm today.
Chennai Express actors Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead and is set to launch on August 9.
