Raj Thackeray’s MNA Party Gives Green Signal to ‘Chennai Express’

We’d earlier reported that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena was angry with the reports of Chennai Express demanding key slots at single screen theatres in Maharashtra, at the expense of Marathi films however, now MNS chief Raj Thackeray has given the movie a green signal.

Chennai Express

MNS Chitrapat Sena had threatened to disturb the film’s launch, as by taking the key slot, the Chennai Express attempted to dislodge famous Marathi movie Duniyadari. Reportedly, on Thursday, Chennai Express director Rohit Shetty and Sanjay Jadhav, who’s helmed Duniyadari, met Thackeray and after listening to each of them, the MNS leader said that if Duniyadari will not be taken off single screens across the state, then MNS won’t object to the launch and run of Chennai Express. Both the parties have decided to this suggestion.

Chennai Express is ready to arrive in cinemas on August 9.
