Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan’s Ra.One creates several record in B-town before launch on October 26, 2011. Ra.One’s tv broadcasting rights had been purchased to Star India for a record sum of 40 crore, surpassing the past record of 3 Idiots for 33 crore. The film’s audio rights were purchased by T-Series for 15 crore whilst the distribution rights were acquired by Eros Entertainment for 77 crore.
The makers of Ra.One set a record promotion budget of close to 52 crore, of which 15 crore had been used for on-line advertising, making it the maximum ever for a hindi film. Ra.One set many records among Indian movies for the volume of theatrical launch, both in India and globally. Country wide, Ra.One will launch in 3,000 screens, breaking the record of Bodyguard which introduced in 2,600 screens. Abroad, the movie is presently planned to launch in 500 screens, including 20 screens in Germany, 200 screens in South Korea and 25 screens in Taiwan. Worldwide screens is estimated to move up to 1,000 as the date of the film’s launch nears. Ra.One will launch in 3D in 550 select screens all over the world.
The initial global premiere of Ra.One will be held in Dubai on October 24, 2011. More premieres are anticipated to take place in London on October 25, Nyc and Toronto.
