Madras Café’s Earning From Day One To A Week

Shoojit Sircar’s Madras Café has released on August 23, 2013. It got great attention of fans of John Abraham.

The film is bases on a story on Sri Lankan Civil war in which John Abraham’s appearance is an Indian Intelligence Officer named Vikram Singh and his co-star Nargis Fakhri is playing a character of Jaya (A British War Correspondent in Sri Lanka). Vikram Singh (John Abraham), appointed by research and analysis wing to follow the operations in Sri Lanka (Jaffina).


Madras Café has shot in India, Sri Lanka, London, Thailand and Malaysia. The major shots that relates to Sri Lanka has shot in India. Shoojit Sircar created the famous city of Sri Lanka Jaffina because they know they can’t shot in Sri Lanka. The scenes of war shot in Tamil Nadu and Kerala which tuned into war zone.

John Abraham’s last film Force has collected 26 crore as budget was 12 crore.

Madras Café collected around 10 crore on the opening day. It earned about 12 crore in Box Office on the second day. It collected around 8 crore on third day of its release.

It collected 8 crore on fourth day, 5 crore in fifth day, 5 crore on second day and around 5 crore on seventh day of its release.

So, Madras Café’s first week Box Office collection is around 50 crore.
