John Abraham granted relief in rash driving case

Bollywood hunk John Abraham was taken into police custody today in a 6 yr old rash driving case but within hrs got relief when the Bombay High Court granted him bail.

The Bollywood actor was in police custody after a sessions court dismissed his request against the 15-day prison time awarded to him in the case of rash driving here in 2006 in which 2 guys were wounded. The accident dates back to April 8, 2006, when John Abraham allegedly rammed his bike into a bicycle, injuring 2 youngsters Shyam Kasbe (22), and Tanmay Majhi (19) on Carter Road in suburban Bandra.

“Considering the fact that the sufferers suffered only minor injuries and the accused has been on bail throughout, he (John) may be released on bail,” Justice RC Chavan said ordering the release of the actor and suspending his phrase. John was asked to deposit Rs20,000 to secure bail.
