Jai Ho was very low in its 2nd week, despite tax exemptions. The political drama, directed by Sohail Khan, has reached the100 crore club in India. Tax different benefited the movie during its 2nd week but the collections remained low. Jai Ho is the highest grossing movie of 2014 till now, with a total of 109.33 crore in 14 days.
The worldwide total of Jai Ho, after 14 days, now stands at 144.43 crore. Jai Ho is all set to become a semi-hit at the Indian office. The movie was made on a budget of 75 crore and has managed to earn the production cost. But to be a hit, the movie needs to make more than double its production expense.
On the other hand, Salman Khan reportedly gave a cheque of 1 lakh to each individual connected with the movie. The amount was paid as a symbol of appreciation to the whole cast and crew. The total amount came up to 2 crore.
