Pakistani rockstar Atif Aslam, who turned millions of hearts towards him within a short time period, turns 31 today.
Atif Aslam was born on March 12, 1983 in Wazirabad, Pakistan. He wasn’t much interested in singing first but cricket. He was such a good fast bowler that at one point he was training to represent Pakistan in the U-19 World Cup.
But there was something special for this talented singer as his beautiful voice urged his college friends to encourage him to take up singing. He then recorded his first single Aadat in 2004 with his pocket money.
In a short time, his album went viral on the internet and he became much popular. His first album Jal Pari was released in 2004 and it won millions of hearts.
In 2005, Atif made his Bollywood debut by lending his voice for Hindi film Zeher, which starred Emraan Hashmi. The songs from the movie became so popular and Atif Aslam became so popular in India and Pakistan.
The talented pop singer has crooned for many Bollywood superhit movies like Race, Race 2, Phata Poster Nikla Hero and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.
In 2012, Atif Aslam was named amongst the top performers of Dubai alongside Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Il Divo, Gotye, Evanescence & Swedish House Mafia. Also, he is the first Asian man to have performed inside the Dashrath Rangasla – National Football Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Last year, Atif performed for the 1st time at the LG Arena in Birmingham.
Atif appeared in acting for the first time in 2011 Pakistani film “Bol”.
The multi-talented singer Atif Aslam married his wife Sara Bharwana last year. The couple has blessed with a baby boy last month.
