Bollywood actor, Govinda is surprisingly being sued by a member of the public, Santosh Rai, who was allegedly slapped by the actor on a movie set in 2008. The case against the actor has now been taken to the Supreme Court. Santosh Rai’s lawyer is saying that the actor humiliated his client in front of the public while filming for ‘Money Hai To Honey Hai’ at Filmistan Studio. Santosh Rai had then registered a case in the Bombay High Court.
The court had quashed his case in 2013, indicating that Santosh Rai had registered the case a year after the incident, making it seem like he was instigated to act against the actor. Santosh Rai had gone to Mumbai to become an actor but after he was slapped by Govinda, he felt quite embarrassed. He claims to fight this case for 6 years and has allegedly used Rs 5 to 6 lakh on lawyers’ expenses. He also adds that since the actor didn’t call him and apologize, he is more determined to fight a case against him.
The actor has been issued a notice, on the other hand Govinda has reportedly turned down receiving anything from the Supreme Court.
