Sources report that a magistrate’s court has ordered a police inquiry into claims of criminal violation of trust and misappropriation of property leveled by the producers of the 1978 flick Don against the producers of the 2011 movie Don 2. In 2011, Nariman Films partner Nadir Irani registered complaints against Don 2 co-producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and Shah Rukh Khan, saying that the remake rights were given limited to the 2006 remake Don and not the sequel Don 2, which was launched in 2011 and used the music and characters from the original movie.

After the High Court didn’t give any help to the complainants, they registered a private complaint and the magistrate asked the police to make further inquiries into the private complaint and submit a fresh report within 3 months.
