‘Chennai Express’ crosses Rs. 200 Crs mark at worldwide box office in 6 days

Deepika Padukone-Shahrukh Khan starrer Chennai Express has crossed Rs 200 crore mark in the worldwide box office in just 6 days. The film, which continued to rock on weekdays, has earned Rs 34.37 crores from its screenings on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Now, its 6-day Indian box office total stands at Rs 134.79 crores nett.

Chennai Express has launched in 700+ screens in 11 overseas countries. Chennai Express earned Rs 50.47 crores nett at the Overseas Box Office in the 1st weekend. The film has also done excellent business on weekdays by collecting around Rs 20 crores nett. Now, its six-day global total stands at Rs 70.47 crores nett. Chennai Express has earned a total of Rs 205.26 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office in 6 days.

Today (Agugust 15) happens to be a countrywide vacation in India and trade expert think that the film will definitely collect Rs. 30+ crores in the Indian Box Office on the 7th day, taking its worldwide total near to the Rs. 250 crore mark in the very first week.
