Bombay Court Says ‘Zanjeer’ Trailer Can’t Be Broadcast

Zanjeer remake, which is courting enough controversies since the first day, has new hassle to deal with now, it looks.

The Bombay High Court has directed that the trailers of the movie (both Telugu and Hindi version) shouldn’t be broadcast till further notice.

This order was approved after a claim by Sumeet and Puneet, the sons of Prakash Mehra that Amit Mehra, who had purchased the remake rights of the movie, has defaulted on his bills, running into crores. However, Sumeet and Puneet ended the deal granting the remake rights after this, leading to a lawful fight.

Featuring Ram Charan Teja, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt and Prakash Raj, Zanjeer is the remake to a 70s hit featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri, Ajit and Pran.
