Bipasha Basu’s forthcoming 3D horror film Creature has been postponed by a month, reportedly.
Creature, originally scheduled to be release on August 22, will now be opened for cinemas on September 12.
The film will mark the debut of Pakistani actor Imran Abbas opposite Bipasha Basu.
Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is happy with the delay since it will avoid a clash with Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns.
“It’s a mega budget film for both Bhushan and me. We had to push forward the release by two weeks because Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns releases on August 15 and we didn’t want to come so close,” Vikram said.
Film producer Bhushan Kumar cited VFX work for the delay.
“Vikram is working on the post production of the film since there is a lot of VFX work to be done. He has shot it at par with international standards and this will be a treat for the Indian audience. We have chalked out our promotional plans and have taken a mutual decision with our distributors to postpone the release of the film. Now the film will hit the screens on September 12,” Vikram added in his statement.
