Nobody can deny his star power on the big screen. But even as Salman Khan returns for the third consecutive season of Bigg Boss today, we hear that his pay packet for the small screen too has gone up significantly.
After taking home Rs. 2.8 – Rs. 3 crs per episode in 2011, the actor will pocket an awesome Rs. 3.8 to Rs. 4 crs per episode on this occasion. The previous year had seen Sanjay Dutt play co-host as Salman Khan was either hectic filming for Ek Tha Tiger or struggling with his illness. On this occasion, however, the actor will be present from the start to finish and is being paid big money for this commitment.
Incidentally, this also makes Salman Khan the highest-paid B-town actor on the tube, then Aamir Khan (Satyamev Jayate, Rs. 3 crs per episode), Shahrukh Khan (Total Wipeout: Zor Ka Jhatka, Rs. 2 crs per episode), Hrithik Roshan (Just Dance, Rs. 2 crs per episode), and Akshay Kumar (Khatron Ke Khiladi season 4, Rs. 1.5 crs per episode).
Big B, though, is in a different category altogether. He’s signed a huge agreement of Rs. 100 crore for 3 seasons of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
