The Uttar Pradesh authorities have made a decision to make Amitabh Bachchan’s latest Bollywood flick “Bhoothnath Returns” tax free across the state, an official said today.
A decision to waive off tax on the movie was taken at the highest level, he added. Bhoothnath Returns co-produced by Ravi Chopra and Bhushan Kumar, is presently being shown at 200 locations in the state. With the tax free dole, the govt said, it’s hoped that more and more citizens will be able to view the movie, which promotes voting.
Government Order regarding the tax free decision was unveiled late Wednesday by principal secretary (Entertainment Tax) Biresh Kumar. In the past few months, Salman Khan-starrer “Jai Ho” was made tax free in Uttar Pradesh.
