A Muzaffarpur court has issued arrest warrants against 2013 launch, Ram Leela’s director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali and its actors- Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, on yesterday, in connection with a case that claims that a couple of scenes of the flick hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.
Warrants have also been issued against co-producer, Kishore Lulla and the musicians and lyricists of the flick. Chief Judicial Magistrate S P Singh, while issuing the warrants, directed the Mumbai Police Commissioner to arrest the people involved and to produce them at his court on June 4.
These warrants were issued based on a case registered by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in November under different sections of the IPC. The film’s team was also earlier called by the court however, they didn’t turn up and therefore, now arrest warrants have been issued against them.
