Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who made her debut with Yash Raj’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, is looking forward to the experience.
The actress is going to join the cast of Bombay Velvet in Sri Lanka. Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet brings Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor together on the big screen for the first time.
“I am really excited and looking forward to joining the crew of Bombay Velvet in Sri Lanka” said Anushka.
Anushka was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. She will be shooting for 40 days in Sri Lanka for Bombay Velvet.
“I have always wanted to work with Anurag and I am glad that I am going to be a part of his biggest celluloid dream yet. I am sure it is going to be an unforgettable experience. Fingers crossed” she said.
Bombay Velvet’s story covers the time between 1950 to 1970 and it is the first film of a trilogy on how the city became a metropolis.
