The television channels are competing with each other in purchasing Tv rights of Hindi movies which are still in production but have leading actors and popular production houses.
As per sources, the TV rights of Hrithik Roshan starrer Agneepath have been purchased for Rs 41 crore while that of Aamir Khan’s Dhuan directed by Reema Katgi, for Rs 40 Cr.
Earlier, the Television channels had the right to telecast for 5yrs but Agneepath and Dhuan are says to be having a 7 year period. The Tv rights segment got a improve after Singham gained a TRP of 8 on its first Television telecast.
Don 2 and Dhoom 3 are predicted to sell the Tv rights soon.
As per the industry circuit, the TV TV rights market has developed over ten times in the previous ten years alone.
